Project Summary
DLG SHAPE successfully delivered a transformative office space for this Undisclosed Australian Government Agency on Level 9 of 222 Lonsdale Street. The fitout provides a modern, functional and collaborative workspace that aligns seamlessly with the client’s operational needs. The space caters to diverse work styles, offering open-plan workstations, quiet zones, multiple-size meeting rooms and casual booths.
At the heart of the office is a vibrant breakout area that includes a kitchen and a variety of seating options to facilitate social interaction. The space is visually unified with a feature batten ceiling – the team conducted an early workshop to identify the risk of a siphonic drain running across the feature ceiling area. This proactive approach allowed for effective mitigation, adapting our methodology and ultimately providing a successful resolution.
The team also addressed long lead-time items, including the national availability of stone. DLG SHAPE conducted a review and presented a value-engineered option to PTID and the client, which was agreed upon and ensured timely project completion.
Multi-purpose meeting rooms on the southern end of the building feature high acoustic ratings and an operable wall, allowing them to hold two different board meetings simultaneously. An intelligent camera system supports these modes, enhancing communication and collaboration.
DLG SHAPE’s proactive solutions to challenges ensured that the fitout was delivered 15 days earlier than the anticipated practical competition date, exceeding client expectations.
